Autistic Artist-Aan

This website is made to publish the artwork of Burhanuddin Muslim Rabbani, or called Aan. Since the age of 2,5 years, the doctor told us that Aan has an autistic syndrome. Aan was born on 6th of July 1996. Until now, in his eleven years old’s life, he still has the limitation to communicate unlike his friends. His interaction with his family and friends is very limited with a simple and easy language. But since the age of six years old, we found something different with Aan’s painting in his school at his kindergarten, TK Tadika Puri, Cinere, Depok. At first, he only did the coloring of the existing painting. Aan has the ability to compose colors so that the colors look beautiful and unique. He used time to draw for almost 10 hours per day, he can finished 6 works in an hour. We can’t deny that his memory dominated the process of his creative activity. In his 11th, the same objects can easily arrange on small or big media precisely. He caught any objects on his daily activities and took attention subjectively to any kind objects. Such as an advertising billboard, a composition of vehicles on the parking lines, or a favorite heroics film on TV. Like a painter works, Aan took his crayon oils and put the idea on paper media.

Website ini dibuat sebagai sarana untuk mempublikasikan hasil karya lukis dari Burhanuddin Muslim Rabbani, biasa dipanggil Aan. Sejak umur 2,5 tahun dinyatakan menderita autis. Aan yang lahir tanggal 6 Juli 1996, sampai umurnya yang ke-11 tahun ini masih punya keterbatasan dalam berkomunikasi tidak seperti layaknya teman sebaya. Interaksi dengan lingkungan seperti orang-tua dan saudara-saudaranya terbatas kepada bahasa-bahasa tertentu yang bersifat ringkas dan pendek-pendek. Namun sejak usia 6 tahun, terlihat ada perhatian Aan terhadap kegiatan menggambar di sekolahnya, di TK Tadika Puri, Cinere, Depok. Awal kegiatan menggambarnya adalah mewarnai objek yang sudah ada. Aan ternyata punya kelebihan dalam mengkomposisikan warna sehingga tampak indah dan khas.
